Do you find yourself asking questions like:
How bad is this going to get?
How long will this last?
How will this impact the profit of my business?
How am I going to take care of my employees…..my family?
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “ I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God declares this message of hope to the Israelites as they are in exile in Babylon. The Babylonians had conquered the Kingdom of Judah, and the Israelites were forced away from their homeland with their culture, their faith, and their way of doing life being challenged almost unceasingly.
As business owner’s and leaders, I imagine that you may feel the same way right now in light of the coronavirus. Forced restrictions on your business, staffing, and operations, along with changes in supply and demand in your industry have attacked your company’s culture, your faith, and your day to day way of doing life.
In the middle of this, I believe that God is declaring the same thing to you today as a business owner and leader that He spoke to the Israelites in the middle of their exile.
“I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Let me assure you today that God has plans for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, and that this promise is not just for the future, but for today. God is working even now to provide for you and your business in supernatural ways, ways that you may not even see or understand.
So when we ask the questions:
How bad is this going to get?
God loves you, cares for you, and is in control no matter what.
How long will this last?
God has plans to prosper you NOW, not just in the future.
How will this impact the profit of my business?
God is Jehovah Jireh, “The Lord WILL provide”, not might, He WILL.
How am I going to take care of my employees…..my family?
Our God is the Good Shepherd, “He will tend His flock”. Isaiah 40:11
All that said, please know that though this battle is very much impacting you in the physical, it is taking place in the spiritual. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12.
And this spiritual battle is not one that you are fighting alone. Our team, at Paradiem, is fighting for you in prayer every day.
