We continue our spotlight of this progressive organization making meaningful change in Ghana, West Africa, Mercy Project. Part of what sets Mercy Project apart is they don’t just go in to address one situation, or one need. They wanted to free children from slavery in Ghana. In order to do that, they had to partner with villages to teach them how to fish more efficiently, help parents learn new trades to be able to earn better income. Once the children are freed from slavery, they work with villages to bridge the education gap caused when these children were removed from their homes and forced to work. Here’s a snapshot reflecting the remarkable impact Mercy Project has had.
